Dear Friends,
What a blessing it is to meet new people and get to do what we do. We just got back from Saddle Up
Celebration at Pigeon Forge, TN. We had a great time. We got to take Marty and Wes Reed with us.
As some of you know they play with me from time to time. Marty on bass and Wes on mandolin. We
performed on the program with Dave Stamey and R.W. Hampton on Thursday and Friday and with
Don Edwards and Waddie Mitchell on Saturday. We also go to perform with Ray Doyle, who though
going solo this time is best known as one of the Wild West from Wylie and the Wild West.(Wylie
Gustafson of Yahoo yodeling commercial fame) What a blast we had. The folks at Pigeon Forge
Visitors Center and Stages West Western Store, one of the primary sponsors, took wonderful care of
us. Both our parents and my aunt Frances went along for the trip and boy was that an entourage.
Today, March 5th, I sang and spoke for JCI inc. in Brownwood. This is a workforce industry for
special needs adults. They do minor assembly and packaging for companies like Kohler. We sang
cowboy songs and looked at my saddles and gear. They had fun getting pictures with my "Monster
Truck" What a blessing they were. We take so much for granted and their sweet spirits lift us up.
Thanks to Randy Christian for setting the whole thing up. We hope to do a Christmas party later this
year for them as well. We have a few revivals and some other engagements coming up that keep us
going but we still have several dates free and available. There have been a few cancellations that we
hope is not a trend. For several friends who have ministries similar to ours, it is going slow. It is
important to keep all ministries in your prayers. When times get hard financially, it seems like ministry
takes a back seat to "necessities". However, we must keep the faith and continue to be diligent. Keep
our radio show in your prayers as that continues to develop and we will keep you posted if it comes to
a radio station in your area.
If you don't have a relationship with Jesus, you need one. Call us at 325-280-5457 or 325-280-5458
and let us tell you how to begin that relationship. It is a decision you will never regret. If you have
prayer needs please share them with us. We love you all and pray for each of you as God lays you on
our hearts.
Your Brother and Sister in Christ,
Donna and Jeff Gore
